The Aussies are good marketers.  Somehow "Yellow Tail" urges people to buy bad wine.

Aussie winemaker Chris Ringland started a company called The Grateful Palate (their web site is worth checking out if you're into design.)  They've been making interesting wines at good prices.  I've seen EVIL Cabernet and Bitch Grenache advertised for a couple years now.  I couldn't get past the gimmick until I was invited to a trade event and actually tasted them. 

 

Let's start with "Pure EVIL" Chardonnay.  Parker's Wine Advocate gave it 90 pts.  Price $10.99.  This is a fun wine that's a bitchin' value!

 

 

You all know I love me some Rhone wines!  If Syrah is the King of Rhone, Grenache is the Queen.  You've got to taste some of this Bitch!  This is the new 2007 vintage of Bitch Grenache and is not yet rated but last years got 90 pts. I like it. Come get some Bitch for only $11.99.

Top it off with some EVIL Cabernet.  Some wine snobs say the dominance of Cabernet in the US consumer marketplace is evil.  At only $10.99 who cares.  Wine Advocate gave this 90 pts too.

I'll leave it up to you to create the perfect EVIL/Bitch gift pack for your loved ones.
