![]() Taste and learn about Italian wine TONIGHT![]() Most of you know about these casual opportunities to taste and learn about wines from around the world. We have five wines from northern Italy tonight paired with cheeses. Lead by Justin the Sommelier, we learn about each wine, where it comes from, what it is meant to be paired with, and decide if we like it. Limited to 18 participants, sometimes it is sold out and sometimes not. I've not received any reservations yet so I'm extending a "late night TV salesman style" offer: The first 10 people to RSVP for tonight pay only $10. If you're not one of the 10, it's $20. RSVP - reply to this email or: info@winelabnewport.com Cheep but GoodLast week we started offering a Cheap but Good flight of 3 wines for $5. It was a hit and will continue. Drop by and try the wines - it's lots more fun than visiting the grocery store.Don't worry, we'll have a flight of more great wines in addition to this flight. We're working on happyI love a quote attributed to Napoleon: When asked if he was happy, he answered "do you think I'm crazy?!"We could all use some occasional happy whether we are crazy or not. Happy hours until 6 PM on weekdays and 4 PM on weekends, enjoy glasses of wine or flights for 20% off. Sunday Wine DownTasting lots of different wines is the best way to learn about wines. This Sunday bring a bottle to the Lab and share it with others. This is a great way to expand your palate and have a good time with fellow oenophiles (wine lovers) I promise I won't cancel it this week! The price of admission is a minimum bar purchase of $10. If you want to taste the wines others bring, you must bring a bottle of wine to share that meets the guidelines for this week: Sunday, March 22: Interesting Red Blends with a minimum retail price of $25. Arrive between 3 & 5 PM A Good Wine to considerAs we are on an Italian theme - one of the great wines is Barbaresco. Rarely do we find a 94 point Barbaresco that is ready to drink for $49.99. Please reply to this email if you want this wine. Limited and will be sold out within the week. 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The cask-aged 2004 Barbaresco Sori Loreto possesses greater weight than the La Gemma but is still classic in its dark cherries, spices and mentholated, balsamic overtones. This richly-textured, plush Barbaresco constantly changes and gains volume in the glass, revealing new shades of expression with each taste. This sweet, long, pure Barbaresco is not to be missed. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016. Check out the Blog for the latest news and find out what's on the tasting flight (click here). Upcoming EventsUpcoming Events
